Emily Lowe, Account Executive
Emily Lowe provides communications counsel and messaging expertise to clients working on a wide range of issues including environmental conservation, social justice and health care access and affordability.
Through extensive branding and messaging work with the Walton Family Foundation and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, she has developed an expertise in effective communication for philanthropic organizations. She has also assisted clients such as ColorofChange position themselves as thought leaders in their fields by maximizing opportunities to speak out on high-profile issues.
Prior to joining Spitfire, Emily worked at The SEED Foundation, an organization that opens and operates inner-city, public, boarding schools in underserved communities. During her time there, she provided support to senior staff and assisted with event planning, donor outreach, and social media efforts. Previously, Emily worked at Slate, providing research support to reporters, helping to launch new projects, and writing articles.
Emily graduated from American University with bachelor’s degrees in political science and Spanish. She spent a semester living in South America, where she explored Machu Picchu in Peru, tangoed in Argentina, and taught English to young women at a school in rural Chile.
